Pirater, tidsresor och klassisk musik, kan det bli bättre? Detta kommer förmodligen vara en av de bästa böckerna 2016!

Älskar att läsa om musik och fiol är mitt favoritinstrument (kan själv inte spela för fem öre, men det låter ju så vackert när det spelas korrekt), så det var ett plus. Scenerna när Etta spelade gick verkligen direkt till hjärtat, känner så väl igen känslan av att stå på scen och bara förlora sig i en roll, eller musiken för hennes del. 
Kunde alltså relatera till henne nästan direkt, men utöver musiken så är hon dessutom en både väldigt smart och mentalt stark karaktär. Man gillar och hejar på henne genom hela boken. 
Älskade Nicholas också, alla scener med honom var helt underbara. 

Systemet med tidsresorna känns realistiskt, tycker författaren har gjort ett riktigt bra jobb med den delen!

Boken tar dessutom upp rasism och kvinnoförtryck, vilket inte är särskilt förekommande i ungdomsböcker (som inte riktar in sig på just det ämnet då). Det görs på rätt sätt, man blir upprörd och frustrerad av händelserna. Det är svårt att förstå hur världen har sett ut, och fortfarande ser ut på vissa platser, men från vad jag kan döma så jag tycker Alexandra Bracken gestaltar det bra.

Boken blev lite långsam mot mitten, men den tog igen sig bra mot slutet! Ångrar nästan att jag läste boken såpass tidigt, blir nu tvungen att vänta ett helt år på nästa del...
